Of course not. It's from The Curse Of Monkey Island (third game in the Monkey Island series). You should play them; they're great classics :)

I kinda like the idea of interactive movies or graphic adventure type games.

However

I tried Dragon's Lair when I was a kid, but I never understood what the *************************** to do. I'd see the game lookin' so cool and fully animated at the arcade. I'd feed the machine, not be given (so it seemed to me) any opportunity to provide input and then half a minute of animation later it'd be game over.

Being the masochist that I am, this scene would repeat itself several times until I storm off like that rage-quitting girlfriend in Rain's linked video. The unfortuante consequence of this childhood trauma is an association with Dragon's Lair of anything remotely resembling an interactive movie. Monkey Island is well within range.

what ._.

Dragon's Lair is a faily experimental timed action game

Secret of Monkey Island is a laid back, point-and-click adventure with puzzles

that is really silly, Negzee >_>

I never said it was a rational association, noodles. And I never said they were the same type of game.

Edit: Myst-type games also give me fits.

Oh, and did you actually mean "faily" or was that a typo of "fairly"? The word "fail" is pressed into service of so many grammatical contexts that I just don't know anymore.

Fail works fine as an adjective without modification, and there wouldn't have been the confusion. :P

I haven't played Dragon's Lair. I saw it available on DSiWare so I looked up some reviews. It doesn't seem too interesting for the price, but maybe I'll try it at some point.

Monkey Island however is very different. They're some of the best games of the old adventure genre. The humor alone is more than worth the price, but if necessary you can easily play them emulated through ScummVM.
