I suppose that's one way of putting it. They had to move on from Guilty Gear since SEGA licensed the name. It's really the evolution of Guilty Gear I'd say.

From what I've seen of BlazBlue's Story mode, Tao's joke ends are kind of funny. Kind of like the Visual Novel approach to the storylines. I already foresee me playing through them all before dedicating myself to online
