I don't get it!
Do they want a group hug?
Why don't they hug each other? Like, all night

I was in both girl scouts and boy scouts, and have gone backpacking in the Ozarks.
The first night we just slept out under the stars, no tents, and it was glorious.
I know many camp fire songs, and have sung them around fires that I built.
Boom-de-yada.

There are pictures of me in my uniform somewhere, but I don't have them with me.
I was in Venture Crew which is the co-ed branch for teens 14-21. We did "High adventure" type stuff (rock-climbing, camping, backpacking, etc) but we also went to the zoo and did fun stuff like that.
My first job was also working at boy scout camp.

Sorry, noodles, I don't remember many songs from childhood. I wasn't a sing-along sort of kid, either. I've gone camping and hiking before, mostly when I was in the Boy Scouts, but I don't remember the "I Love the Mountains" song.

Don't feel left out Negzee. "boom de yada" is new to me too and I spent so much time outdoors as a kid I practically grew leaves out of my head (they were mostly just stuck in my hair). Maybe it's just a mountain thing as there are none of those down here?

Can't be that, caije, because I'm in flat flat flat Great Plains region.
I just know a bunch of camp/scout songs, like Sippin' Cider, 10 Little Angels, "Girl Scout Camp," "Taps", etc.
Not that I'm proud of that fact. -__-

Ahhhh, I love all the little kid songs I know
also I love the amount of Irish songs and lullabies I learned from my mother when I was little, who learned them from her mother, all the way back
I will have to give that gift to the kid I will inevitably have, because the nostalgia and joy it brings me to hear them is too great to keep to myself
