I've never been to tourneys, never met tourney players.

Seriously -_-; isn't the game the sort you want to invite your neighborhood friends over all in the room to fight and yell at each other. XD I still hold the title of "Kill Stealer"! :] It might have pissed off my friends, but it was just SO fuggin' fun! In the first game I was ace with Pikachu's quick attack! They'd throw them off the edge, I'd leap after the CPU player, peg it just before it died and still made it up to fight my own CPU player - until my friend would punch my arm T-T.

I could never quite master that in Melee again, but... :3 Melee has its own delicious ways of having fun!

Wolf's Up-B (and straight vertical!) is annoying AS FUCK when it has absolutely no horizontal movement. Sucks when one of the other directions (NNE or NEN, for instrance) is an overshot (...undershot?) since FD's side slopes are terrible.

I have a lot of people who enjoy playing 1v1s for "actual matches," for lack of better way to describe that. FFA is just for "goofing off," and laughing at all the silly shit going on. When we want to play as an actual test of skill, however, we play 1v1.

I understand the fun of FFA since it IS fun and we did a hell of a lot of it when SSBB first came out. However, I prefer playing 1v1 if the option is there since I like to play an actual challenge. FFA is just for laughs.

I still don't understand why characters randomly trip in Brawl. I have never, ever, once in my life just tripped while walking over a completely flat surface. :[ People trip stepping over cords or slip on ice, but just tripping out of nowhere? Odd...

I totally understand it with some characters running top speed and then you randomly shift left and right but ... beyond that ... what?

If I were to ever get in a 1v1 match with somebody on final destination with no items...

I would probably be Dedede or something, inhale the dude, and jump off the ledge while laughing maniacally

If you can't manage to get out of D3's inhale (or Kirby's) then you probably deserve that death since you're terrible at the game.

(Hint: It takes ~2-3 seconds to break out if you press buttons. At all.)

Only control stick movements break you out of ice/eggs/being buried/grabs. I usually just rotate. :] The amount of time statuses last is based on their percentage so at high percentages, inhale will ALWAYS be fatal!

Hrm ... I don't think that's true. Then again, the last time I played a Kirby or D3 (that wasn't infinite-throwing >>) didn't bother inhaling. In goof-off moments and games, I usually break out practically instantly regardless of percentage. Maybe my memory is fuzzy.

Incidentally, we're playing Brawl right now and had someone do the Ganondorf suicide earlier. Was hilarious.
