really, how old is Red?

[spoiler]The general consensus is that all pokemon trainers start at 10 years old. But it doesn't explain exactly how long it takes to go through the country and beat the League and stuff.

In the anime, it says there was a whole year in between visits to Veridian City, and Ash didn't really take too many detours, he just always made sure to stop the conflict wherever he was, as I'm sure Red would, because he is basically Kenshiro without the muscles. And then idunno how long it took to get to the indigo plateau, and go through all of those qualifying matches and stuff (Ash never got to fight the Elite 4 or champion).

There are three years in between the events of Red/Green and Gold/Silver.

I don't know if it says in the anime how long it took to get through the Johto region, but let's say another year, and then add in maybe 5 months at the most for getting through Kanto again.[/spoiler]

So, if we round it to the nearest year, Red is 13 using game time and 16 realistically.

The question now is, should he be kissing a 10-11 year old girl?
