I knew there was a reason my conscience was saying "but Scy, don't do it!"
Then I killed it.

To be honest, it sounds worse/harder than it is. It boils down to just being able to have a conversation and just going from there. I don't really have "advice" since I'm just kind of a people person (someone, somewhere on this board is wtf-ing at that idea) and can't really explain "talking" with people. I just kind of spout bullshit in conversation and joke around.
But ... basically, just go out and talk with people. Fuck what they think. Do something just for the sake of being able to use it to talk with people. I'll be honest, a good portion of the reason I finally got my tattoo on my hand is just to have something people ask me about (what is it, why'd you get, lolgamez). That and if any girl ever recognizes it from sight I'mma marry her or something.
Shit, go to anime/game/etc. conventions to make it easier; that way anybody you see you know probably has similar interests anyway. Hell, just approach _people_ in general. The most important first step is to be able to feel comfortable approaching people and to be able to just speak naturally. There's all sorts of strange guides on the interwebz of how to approach, openers, etc. etc. etc. but the only big thing to have is confidence to just be able to talk with someone.
@The Comic
It's okay. I liked the comic, Scy. :>
It is really bad, because I am often see as a counsellor among my friends, and I have had a number of those folks (who are great and all) tag onto me about their problems over the Internet, so I try not to think that way of them.
When I feel that way about somebody, I take the liberty of actually physically being there for them. Sometimes, even when they try to shut everyone out from the world. Take action if you like them so much.
Edit - Guess that last part does not work, since I have never loved somebody that way and anybody I have had a romantic connection with comes to me.
@Other news
Clever, even if DPS is the least favourite out of the three roles in any game.

Eh, after getting my mind on something else, I feel better.
No, smokes would not help me.
The other image did.
Don't worry about it, Scy. I pretty much do those things. Just that I can't get out of my house to do them, besides work. And lord knows no one there really cares.
@DPS
Play League of Legends. No one likes to play tank or support. Everyone loves the squishy game carrier.

In some ways I am like the comic, (pale, introverted) and in some ways I'm not (know how not irritate people, don't go out of my way to be super nice to people).
Actually, the only time in recent memory I have ever had some sort of romantic feelings toward someone (I know I'm still in high school, but it counts for something, I suppose), I acted pretty much the same toward that person as I always had, which mostly consisted of playful teasing and normal conversations. Although then she got sick and was out for the rest of the year, so nothing could and probably will never happen.
