You do not need carbohydrates but due to constraints that are necessitating their use; that's different than the body needing them. You'll be healthier, and fuller, by and far with a higher (natural/healthy) fat diet. Healthy oils, good animal fats (e.g., grass-fed butter, though that may be harder for you than me to acquire), fixing Omega-3/Omega-6 balance closer to 1:1 rather than 1:10+, etc.

Bad fat is still bad but not all fats are bad; the same for carbohydrates, certainly, but lower carbs helps keep a leaner body. More carbs are great for people already in shape or doing the work out to necessitate the quick energy burn from carbs.

I'm a terribly unhealthy person that is fascinated with nutrition. I'm in the process of dieting to lose some weight and get my body back to my wonder years except "smaller"; ffff yeah six-pack
