0°C is cold but it's not that cold. "Fairly cold" is about right. And while 0°F (-32°C) is quite cold, and you might die if exposed for several hours without clothing, it's manageable. With a good coat and cap, a brisk walk will generate enough heat to keep your body toasty. And snow-swept neighbourhoods and parks are lovely places for a walk.

Wouldn't warm snow be a great invention? Then people like me could enjoy it outside instead of looking at it from inside.

Yeah, 0°F is -18°C, it turns out, which is not that bad at all. I saw the -32°C and just went with that without thinking about the conversion.
