^_^ She didn't buy "starter" she bought "structure". I dunno if there's a different. The structure deck is Onslaught of the Fire Kings.
However, I also have a second deck that she made from the ones her boyfriend gave her. Because EVERYONE knows I have a dragon fetish: ^_^ the deck is made up of dragons. <333333333
We're playing with 40 card decks. I'm going to go through and start taking out and adding things into the decks and combining the two.
Naw, we don't have anything for extra decks. And she has the only Field cards. I don't have any of those.
I think we've got the rules down fairly pat, but if a situation comes up that we are unfamiliar with I'll be sure to write it down and ask you guys about it.

Same thing, at least I was using them like that. Try to keep the decks at 40 exactly, it helps your odds of getting what you need when you need it.
Also, her boss monster will repeatedly clear the field and then come back. You'll need to make sure you have way of getting your big dragons out quickly. High level dragons tend to get stuck in your hand a lot, so find ways around that with other monster effects or spells and traps that summon them.
If you want to go over the rules let me or Liferake know, he probably knows rules better than me as I've only been playing for a few months.
Edit: no use changing threads, here's my deck without the side deck. My friends and I don't do the extra crap like Xyz or Synchro. It keeps it simple, at least.

I need a few staple trap and spell cards still and a few more water guys but I'm pretty happy with this deck. I need to buy a third starter deck for the spell and traps I only have 2 of but always use.

The Zombie Madness Structure deck gave me 3 Compulsory (and I've used 3 Compulsory in my zombies for YEARS.) and now that its limited to 1 I just spread the wealth.
Sadly, I'm also missing a lot of "Staple Cards", and because I share my card pool with my brother we have to compromise which staples we use.
Stuff like Book of Moon/Torrential Tribute/Mirror Force/Dark Hole are cards me and my brother don't have a lot of. We split both BoMs and T tributes between us, I got 2 of the 3 dark holes, 1 of the 3 Mirror Forces, We have enough Compulsory Evac. Devices and Bottomless trap holes, now that they've been limited. Monster Reborn and Heavy storm gone really hurt me a bit, though I've kind of adjusted to it. We also split Call of the Haunted, though we have 7 of them its still just not enough.

I don't have a single Call of the Haunted or Monster Reborn, but I hope to get one tomorrow when I finally visit a sweet card shop.
I have a karakuri ninja mdl 919 and 7749 and a dark hole if you want to trade anything. Do you have any water or earth monsters you don't need?

Today I almost got into a fight with a random guy. I was walking across a street in a crappy part of town, and a car pulled up to turn. I jogged the last few meters of the cross-walk so he could go about his merry way. However, there was a couple a bit in front of me, and I jogged to a stop several feet behind them. The guy wheeled around and was like,
"You scared the shit out of me." I apologized and he continued on, "You can't run up behind people in this area of town." I apologized again and he kept going, "Seriously, don't ever do that!"
I said "Whatever, man."
He echoed me like a 6-year old so I told him to fuck off. He stepped forward, but his girlfriend held him back and they walked away.
He was like 28, I would have gotten my ass kicked. Fun times, makes me glad I chose to live in a nicer area.

^ Fun thing about unskilled kerfuffles is that there's plenty of kicked asses for everyone. Some even kick their own asses. :3

I am excited about Korra. I love Korra, whilst it's not as good as the Legend of Aang, it hasn't had as much time to develop... not only that but we spent many, many years waiting for Aang and the new seasons as they came out. Korra got 13 episodes to do the entire series, not cool.
Whilst the first season has only just aired in the UK, I'll be aquiring the second series shortly... don't look at me like that, I'll buy the full blu-ray combi when it gets released

Didn't like Korra.
Kill off the best character and barely mention it, why don't you. That and I've never been particularly taken by the steampunk genre. I loved the feel of TLA and Korra doesn't do it for me. Still, it's cool it's getting a new series, other shows don't get this kind f thing much.

I felt the Korra world had moved on very quickly for just 90 years or so. But I still liked it and I'm into steampunk anyway.
This series is meant to have mor spirit world which will be nice as I think that's what I missed second to most, after Aang of course.

The world of Avatar seemed to have been entering a period of rapid innovation during The Last Airbender. This became more evident as the story progressed. So honestly, I'm not surprised how far it moved. I mean, compare us to 90 years ago.
