Today one of my goth inclined students spent 15 minutes asking me questions about witches, vampires, and Satan. Which, as you'll know from previous posts of mine, is basically what I studied in college.

Never has a student been so interested in something I was saying.

Why isn't it always Halloween and why can't I smoke a pipe in my classroom while wearing a tweed suit?

Wait, what counts as a tap?

When I was in New York about 6 years ago I aksed for a cup of tea and it was hot water from a tap. I was very disappointed.

A tap is anything where the water hasn't been able to boil at over 100C. Boiling water from a hot water urn is fine.

Strangely only a few kids showed up at Halloween this year, so there are lots of candy left...

No Halloween action in our area this year. It was just a normal day. And even if there was any, my mother wouldn't let us open the door anyways, because she's paranoid. Poor children.

Is Halloween a thing then in France?

My mum took my keys by accident this morning and locked me in the house. Good thing there was a spare key but I was afraid of not being able to go to class. That was the dumbest thing that has ever happened to me

Sorry about tumblr. We use an external blacklisting software (well 5 of them) and tumblr is blocked as it's often used in porn spam. Rubbish I know .
