The ringing in my ears is totally worth how incredibly AWESOME the concert was!
OH BOY! Simply amazing.
My parents took me to see "Liverpool Legends" which is a Beatles tribute band from Branson that was playing at the theater here in town. ^_^; I'm such a dork, I saw the posters at work and such but I knew my fiance would never want to go, and that I couldn't afford the tickets! So I was really excited when my dad called and asked if I wanted to go with him and mom. (The Beatles, by the way, are my absolute favorite band ever. They're all I listened to as a kid)
They were really good. Very authentic looking and, more importantly, sounding. Right before the curtain went up I told my folks that I was going to predict that the first song they'd play would be "I Wanna Hold Your Hand" -- and I was right!
^_^ It was really great!

1) Those islands used to be part of the mainland. By the time our modern map was in place, tree life-forms had already spread. Also, many tropical trees and palms use the water currents to move their seeds.
2) No idea. I spend more time with guys.

I don't really know what to say, though it could be not far from a primitive instinct in a lot of animals. With most cases, female animals are less likely to provoke each other into blood thirsty fights compared to males of the same species. Something about the brain development raises the higher chance of the male mind being more independant, and something about the brain development makes the female mind more likely to require emotional response... this comes more from being around other people who will give it. Well, I know a lot of what the somethings are but blah blah blah biology theory stuff. Please take emphasis on the "more likely" since growth, experience, hormone levels, even racial heritage can have an affect on physical and mental development. Not everyone is the same! It can be a mix of comfort and how the gender feels someone else will respond.
Personally? I have one real life friend who is a guy and the rest are girls. On the Internet... well I'll just say girls outnumbers guys 8 to 1! I'm just less likely to develop friendship with guys beyond them just wanting more food. Probably bad luck.
