I forgot to mention a few days ago I signed up for OKC and ditched POF, it's WA better for finding people like you.
There's only one girl in my city who seems like somebody I'd date, but she hasn't responded to my message. Maybe my standards are too high, but I'm not super desperate, just figured having an online profile couldn't hurt. But yeah, OKC > POF.
I'm not a torrent of whiskey or rage. I'm more like an annoying drizzling of sarcastic assholism.

Me and this girl both did and we're still a 98% match. Our personalities seem different enough but we're both looking for the same things and share lots of viewpoints. I get that couples shouldn't be too similar but to me it seems like we're different people with the same values.
It's hard not to get a little excited about this, which I didn't expect I'd feel at all.

I got a number of friends attending it. I didn't really feel like it today, but I'm thinking I might head there tomorrow. The phrasing of your question confuses me, though. San Francisco isn't that far away. I was there less than two weeks ago, as a matter of fact. >_>

(remember, Starfe can't drive)
I've never even heard of it. Even if I had, it's hard enough to get to an anime convention in LA, I don't think I'd ever make plans to go to one in SF. Me being south of LA, norcal might as well be two states away

I fucking hate driving. But now that I live in California I think I might have to.

In the SF area you don't really have to
but you kind of do

I lived in the area for over 5 years without a car.
I finally caved in so I could have a richer social life. >_>

In the Bay Area its really on the line. Like you don't have to, but especially in Oakland which is fraught with urban decay and food deserts, you are occasionally, tremendously, inconvenienced by not driving.
When I first moved to Seattle in 2008 I REALLY didn't need to. Not even for social life stuff. The area I lived in was absurdly walkable, and the transit system functioned.
Over the years I moved to less walkable parts of Seattle, at the same time that rapid cuts were being made to public transit. Now I can't imagine living in Seattle (in the same place I used to) without driving.
In any case. I hate driving, but will probably have to start doing it soon.
