The pain meds I'm taking for my wisdom teeth surgery make it both hard to concentrate and make me drowsy, so I'm blasting Cake. Unfortunately, blasting Cake also makes it hard to concentrate. But I like Cake, so it's OK.

Last year I had the worlds worst class of 9th graders. This year I have the exact opposite. The downside to having such lovely students for a change is that they all write their papers, which means I have to read them.
Last year, with 80 students, I was lucky to get 40 complete papers. Now I have 116 students, and I'm receiving about 105. Hell of a lot of reading.

Friday night, I was quite amazed how well my car performed with five full sized adults in it, and also that we didn't get pulled the fuck over by a cop because my car is slightly smaller than a Mini and has a 2+2 seat arrangement.
One of them insisted for a while that he should squish himself into the trunk space, but two of the others finally convinced him to lay sideways in the back on their laps. It felt like cramming a clown car full of drunk clowns.
I am thankful there wasn't any noticeable damage to the interior after all that. Nobody puked, either, which is super cool.
(If I were expecting to be DD, I would have used one of their larger sedans, but I had not planned on staying, and had only meant to drop off one member of the group who wasn't able to meet the others for the initial ride over to the event.)
