Somehow, I've only ever slipped and fallen on ice once in my life. I swear I have a blessing that prevents it, because the one time I did fall was when I laughed at my friends for slipping! Other times I seem to slip but manage to still be on my feet and not on my face or something. Maybe in times of danger, I gain a sudden major increase in balance? The ice here is scary as well. Lots of car accidents. ;-;

Kino, your state is a bunch of God damned WIMPS. Call me when you have blizzard after blizzard in March, where a couple inches of snow from melting turns instantly into 2 to 3 feet.
Your's melts instantly. Our snow piles from plowing gets to 2 average human heights (10 to 12 feet.).

Hey now. As Kino said her state is just not used to that and probably doesn't know how to handle those conditions. D: As mucky and as ugly as it is, I find the best thing to do for cities not used to it is the good ol' salt and sand mix on the public roads and maybe sidewalks. Though maybe the government feels it won't last long enough for that to be necessary.

It shouldn't. That should be done melting in the next few hours at most.
But COME ON. It's a DUSTING. That's not even worth mention. Be a little more careful on the roads is all you need.

:3 Taken just for you Kino as soon as I woke up this morning. Still had my PJs on, too. All I did was open the front door. I guess I should also mention that it was a snow plow that woke me up.
THIS is a snow day - and yeah, the schools cancelled. Also, though you can't see it in the picture, it is raining at the moment. A nice little rain and ice mixture that you can hear more than you can see.
And it's suppose to keep falling until about 7pm or so today.
Oh, there's a good two to three inches down on the ground there. Hard to tell and I didn't exactly keep the door open to look. BRRRRRR! LOL and don't go by that small set of chairs that you see in the pic - it's under a canopy made by two trees. It always gets the least snow in the yard.

That side street is off of the main road and is a little backroad street - that is rarely plowed or salted. *Sigh* It's ALSO a fuggin' hill. You should hear it whenever a car goes up that way. They are always spinning and shit. It's like watching the little train that could "I think I can, I think i can."
Dad is due home soon. <_< I hope he makes it home safe.

I miss the sunnier days:

MY NEW AQUARIUM CASTLE!

The betta instantly called it home. Manages to go from the left side and out the right side! Those two doors look like they're just begging to have a fish caught in them, but that won't happen. Whenever another fish even considers entering the betta appears, puffs up and scares them away.
I know that picture makes the tank seem deserted, but there are actually 9 fish! Which is a good amount for a ten gallon tank.

Yeah... well... sorry I mentioned it I guess. Didn't mean to offend those of the colder climes.
