Me, I liked the old cartoons. Inspector Gadget, Littlebits, animated shorts of Fairy Tales, David the Gnome, Eurika's Castle. There was also this show called Lunchbox or something which was made up of things like paddington bear, and a bunch of singalongs that I enjoyed. Simpsons never appealed to me, and I found shows like Ren and Stimpy to be so utterly gross, repulsive, and WAY not worth my time. I use to actually wonder about the mentality of my classmates as they seemed to enjoy it and repeat that "happy happy joy joy" song over and over.
Speaking of classmate mentality, I couldn't grasp why, when a teacher offered a spelling bee award of a poster of that Saved by the Bell character, every girl in the class suddenly screamed loudly - me, I thought it was down right stupid of an award and chose to lose just so I wouldn't be burdened with it (I misspelled "labyrinth" by coincidence, an obvious word considering my favorite movie). I just couldn't understand the attraction plus felt that it was SUCH a FUGGIN' DUMB SHOW!

I never saw Saved by the Bell.
or Boy meets World.
I liked to watch non-fiction and educational programming.

Aside from the times I was forced to watch television, I avoid the dang thing like a plague. Well, I usually watch reality shows like "What Not To Wear" (SUE ME) with my mother or else she's all lonely watching it by herself all the time. At least fashion shows appeal to me a little because I just happen to be into that stuff even if I don't practice it personally! Other than that I have never gone out of my way to watch TV nor will I ever do so. The Internets are good enough for me. :3

Which version do you watch of What Not to Wear, Elys? The international one (I can't remember what country) or the American one? The American one has that bitch and that gay guy. -_-; They both turn me off from the show.
My sister loves those shows so I'm her victim whenever i'm in the room, though we both got REALLY into "America's Next Top Model"
Internet > TV. Usually whenever I'm sitting in front of the TV it's because I'm working on something and just happen to be sitting on the comfy living room couch. I've either got my DS, my TLQ notebook, or my latest Sudoku puzzlebook. I never take the initiative to pick up the remote. And usually when I do, I like to turn to programs that everyone else in my family hates, aside from LaO:SVU, which includes How It's Made, Modern Marvels, Mythbusters, and the occassional Dirty Jobs (I only like the show until it gets TOO gross... I have my limits with it). The channel promptly gets turned when someone walks into the room and I never fight for the remote.
I like the medical channel A LOT, too, but

lately, it's just been this stupid baby shit or about some obese person. Not that it's bad, but it's the ONLY thing. I like to watch Untold Stories of the ER or Mystery Diagnosis. DR. G isn't so bad a show, but it's just RERUN RERUN RERUN! x_x

I have none of this TV of which you speak.
And it is awesome.

This recent discussion has actually made me dumber.
On another note, TV snobs annoy the fuck out of me.
Though you are less of a person for watching reality TV shows. JUST SO YOU KNOW.
There's a joke somewhere in this post.
To add though, I don't "watch TV" at all ... I just find HD episodes somewhere and watch those instead (I loathe SD after spending my vacation time with an HD source >>). Plus, commercials suck.
Big Bang Theory, How I Met Your Mother, and Burn Notice for stuff I keep up with as new episodes release. Just picked up My Name is Earl and Flight of the Conchords as well ... will see if I watch all of them or not.
Need to catch up on House and eagerly awaiting another season of Dexter as well >>. Might try Lost and 24, though I doubt it (seriously ... after like 8 seasons of SAVING THE FUCKING WORLD you'd think those bitches would just listen to Bauer ... how the hell is 24 still airing?!). Maybe it's the same reason Prison Break confuses me ...
8 seasons = 4 seasons
WORLD = Patient
Bauer = House
24 = House?!
I wish on House they would go back to focusing more on the complex cases rather than focusing on the drama-shit. Sometimes it feels like I'm watching a soap opera. *Shrugs* Still... I won't deny that it isn't fun.
Cuddy x trip wire + House = FUCKING HILARIOUS. God, I loved last week's show
