You... spilled chocolate milk... on your Atari?!!?
How dare you, you klutz! Miscreant! Irresponsible person!
Hehe, just kidding. But that had to be a bad, sad situation though.
Hmm, as for me:
- Atari & Snes died of old age/neglect in maintainance
- Tamagotchi, Always check all pockets before washing your clothes
- Keyboard of PC, Cat chewed through the cord
- Mouse of same PC (Ditto)
- Laptop screen. Left it closed on the table after using it. Cat decided it was a warm place to sleep on. CRACK!
------
Starting to see a pattern here? I really think our cat hates technology. She also demolished my alarmclock, one of my other Tamagotchi's and a few of those Christmas thingies that run on batteries.
------
- PS3 controller. Had a scare moment while playing Dead Space. Sqeezed the controller so hard, it's casing broke.
- NDS stylus. While not a system, I tend to chew on those things. Already had about 15 of them.
Go ahead, Kino, scold back at me :3

Errr... no. That's not very funny. A person has to be, as the thing said, 65ft to be able to chat on that thing. I don't care WHO you are - THAT'S FUGGIN' SCARY. If it was "OMG THEY ARE ON MYSPACE!! KYAAAAA" where they are safely in Canada and you are in Florida, that's just overreacting.
o_O I mean, the odds of finding someone wireless on a pokemon game are astranomical, for a person to just suddenly open up pictochat to try to chat with the kids... something's NOT right there.
of course, the whole thing does sound like it could be a setup/false story.
@DS stylus: I've not broken one, but I did switch my old one out because it was starting to slip out too easily from its holder inside the DS.

It still feels like a dumb "OMG THE DS ISCAN RAPE CHILDRENZ." That said, the Pictochat range being 65ft AND meeting pedophiles is a bit creepy.
...then again, it's Pictochat. CHAT. What the fuck do you expect to find in a chat room. At least here you can possibly alert authorities and you know the range.
Incidentally, 65ft is small. Really small. Go check your house for how far 65ft actually gets you >>

That's my point: 65ft is SMALL - my sister cannot be in her room and me in the living room when we are playing Mario Party DS.
So, what I find creepy about that story they talked about is - the guy had to standing like RIGHT OUTSIDE! I don't think they were in an adjoining apartment so that rules out that possibility.
I agree, though. Having a news story of OMG DS LEADS TO PREDATORS is rediculous, but I didn't think the story was. I wouldn't worry about the DS in that situation, I'd have been calling the cops ASAP - which is why I feel as creepy as the story is, it still feels a little staged.
