So now that I am at home and thinking straight I can safely say that the entire night was a disaster.
The prom itself was in the House of Blues at Downtown Disney, next to Disneyland.
The disaster started when they cut my hair
I asked for a cut, I meant a trim. The girls were like WHERE DID YOUR BEAUTIFUL CURLS GO </3 and the guys were like WHERE DID YOUR BADASS FRO GO >:O and people said that though it looks nice, I seemed like a different person.
I don't want to look nice, I want to be me
So then the prom actually happened, and that was fine, though I regretted not bringing someone later on. There were really no slow songs though, which is some kind of sacrilege.
Then, when I left, I realize I had forgotten my mom's digital camera at the place. I had begged my mom for like 10 whole minutes to let me bring it. I feel pretty awful about that. We are now in the process of getting through the House of Blue's automated bureaucracy to try and figure out if the camera is still there. I took so many pictures and videos, too.
I have now relapsed into a mini-depression. The Faustian shoulder angels are back, telling me "the final impression of you as you leave high school will be that of a boy pretending to be noodles" or "the idea of high school reputations is hopelessly juvenile and insignificant compared to the rest of your life"
