If you're an average joe-shmoe, yes, I agree, FUCKING POINTLESS.
But for like my webcomic hosts and gaming sites, it seems like it would be more useful than having a million individual RSS Feeds on my toolbar. This way, it's just ONE. Nice and neat ^_^; At least, that's what I'm hoping...
I'll probably only participate to spam some recognition into Atlus Blog (if that's possible through twitter, but what the hell - it's worth a try!)

Twitter is a micro-blogging site. Blogs that are only diaries are pretty boring usually, unless a) you know the writer personally, or b) they have super awesome adventures all the time. Blogs that are essays or reviews or stuff can be interesting, depending on the subject matter and competency of the author. Tweets are too short to be essays or other deep stuff, so they're pointless unless a) or b). And even then people usually only write when they're not busy with other things.
Hmm, maybe Twitter is for people who want to have a blog because it's cool to have one, but don't want to actually put in the writing effort.

I understand twitter as a quick update for like cellphones and stuff and would see me using it whenever I get my iPhone/pay for my Blackberry data usage/etc. but as nothing more than actual updates stuff and not "LOL 3 SECOND UPDATE."
I dunno, who knows until I actually try it.
Which I probably won't. I'm too lazy to even bother with my Facebook page despite how super sociable I am and should use it.
