T-T whatever!! My dragon volleyball was thought up LOOOONG before some fucking vampire baseball shit!
Though, the humor in the scene really is that the dragons do later on in other books make it an actual "game" as opposed to just hitting the poor characters around. Every time Maxine and co. see the game they have some rather uncomfortable memories and it gives me the chance to add some very humorous lines to lighten up the scene.

My characters have some uncomfortable memories as well.
Of course, it's pretty hard to make light of a man bludgeoning his wife to death. And that's only part of the memory...
Every time I think of that scene, this comes up (skip ahead to 2:30 -- sorry that it won't embed):

Oh boy I don't know how I'll spend my evening.
Actually, cancel that, I'm pretty sure it's going to be exactly like this:
Me: *walks in* Hi!
Him: Hey.
Me: *sits* How was class?
Him: It was okay.
Me: So I don't have to go to work tonight!
Him: Oh, cool. Let's watch some True Blood.
Me: Okay! *gets a beer*
Him: Grab me one, too!
Us: *drink beer and watch TV*
ISNT OUR LIFE EXCITING?!
Unless that son of a bitch watches the last two episodes with out me.
But I told him I would FOR SURE let him play Scribblenauts if he waited until I got home.

^_^; My life will consist of
MAYBE going swimming with my young 16 year old sister and HER friends.
Taking a shower and playing some computer
This evening having a campfire, buying some booze, roasting some marshmellows, and sitting around talking.
<_< My life isn't all that exciting, either.
The good part is: ^_^ Just got back from driving practice with my dad. He was teaching me to parallel park. XD I'm able to nail it now! Though

I still have my moments of screw ups.
I'm going to spend another day practicing that and regular parking, get some driving time in, and then I'm putting in for my driving test.
>_< I fucking HATE driving. <_< It's so bloody scary. BUT I need my license. I don't appreciate having mommy and daddy driving me back and forth to work this year. I'm NOT doing that this semester.

I have never once parallel parked. Last time I did it was on the last day of driver's ed. Didn't even have to do it for the actual driver's test.
Just get as much practice as you can, Maxine... you'll get more comfortable. I hate driving (NYC was a dream with all that public transport!) but sadly America is car-obsessed and it sucks.

Hehehe...
So across the street from us are two abandoned houses up on blocks. Next to them, against the corner, is this "party house" that's always having loud obnoxious parties that spill out into the driveway and side yard. With the abandoned houses and the long drive and the yard, they just love to have parties that spill outside. They also love to scream and yell and show absolutely no regard for the fact that it's 2am and some people might be trying to sleep. Once we even saw them driving golf balls towards our side of the street! Very annoying. They've been quiet all summer, naturally, with the students all being gone the town gets very quiet anyway.
But last night, my fiance and I were in bed, about 12:45-ish, and we start hearing cars drive up, loud talking, shouting, etc.
We go into the living-room and peek through the curtains/peephole at the party-in-progress. There are groups of 2-3 people arriving every ten seconds, it's just really getting into the swing of things and the bars aren't even closed. I can see people outside holding red dixie cups, and everyone's dressed in "college party/bar" sort of wear -- khaki shorts and short-sleeved polos for the guys, those stupid tunic dresses for the girls. Basically, the sort of people who are going to party hard and be very noisy ... easily 100 people already at the party with more arriving.
This is the weekend with everyone back in town for greek rush and new leases starting in august, so we could feel this party was going to be EPIC and loud.
So we called in a noise complaint to the police.
Gleefully we watched as the cops showed up within ten minutes or so and the entire party broke up. Some people started running away in a panic -- probably underage, so fuck 'em. We stayed inside our house giggling and watching. They were shouting plans to regroup at some other house. Smaaart.
The cops weren't dicks about it, either. I don't know if they told everyone to leave or just told everyone to quiet down and the party-ers chose to leave. No one was arrested or anything, and the cops cruised by about 30 minutes after they left to check up on things.
Pretty exciting all in all.

I've pretty much decided I hate you.
