I ended up getting my fiance Sam & Max for the Wii.

STORY TIME

Him: Oh! Fuck. This is so embarrassing but I got you the exact same present. Well, I guess you'll just have to wait a few days and tell me what you want...
Me: Uh-huh

Him: >__> What do you want?
Me: XD You didn't get me anything, did you?
Him: Now I feel bad because you got me something so ridiculously considerate.
Me: Let's go buy me some new socks this weekend!

I find speech can better convey spirit. I just don't like how limiting audio is, such as not being able to listen to music and making it harder to read great amounts of text. They have their time and place.
