<_< So my sister's birthday is coming up next week on the 19th.
I really want to get her something nice. It's her 17th as well.
I would LOVE to get her a NICE looking chess set (preferably a folding one) that looks nice but is very practical. However, after searching through amazon all I found were ones that looked just about like the one that we already have at home.
I was toying with the idea of getting her a Spencer's chess set with some kewl theme but I want it to be playable and one of the issues we had while attempting to play with my dragon set was that the pieces all looked alike. We got halfway through one game when we both realized that we had both confused our bishops and knights and we kept having to pick up pieces to be sure which was the king and which was the queen.
I would also love to get her a set that has the notations down the sides. -_-;
Best one I saw was this: http://www.amazon.com/Tournament-Chess- ... 19&sr=8-24
but I don't like the price tag or the "only 1 left in stock" detail.
This was one that I was SO set on: http://www.amazon.com/Tournament-Staunt ... 19&sr=8-28
but then I read the customer reviews o_O; (still don't like the price tag... can't we keep it under $35....)
-_-; Uggg.... I dunno what to do....
should I do a drawer one... there was this one....
http://www.amazon.com/John-N-Hansen-100 ... pd_sbs_t_1
but I worry about the pieces banging against each other... and storage... she's a teen... who doesn't keep her room neat XD (this is my sister: http://i.imgur.com/wGKbW.jpg)

So I've leaped into a project that will take me roughly a month. It's for a friend and I was kinda excited to be invited into it when we really don't know each other. The e-mail came last night as a shocker o_O;
<_< I feel that my plate is already too full and I might just end up cooking my goose on this one but I hope not.
-_- *groans* why do I do this to myself.... still... once in a lifetime opportunity...
