Urgh, too asleep to keep track of the like... five threads you've mentioned the series in. I got the hints, they were pretty glaringly obvious. I appreciate that you didn't leave me hanging. xD
Now for the bad part. I downloaded the first novel and... god, it was so dull.
I can't understand why it appeals to you.
Whoa hey! We're two individuals doomed to die sooner than normal people, let's sit around all day not even attempting to be social or find things to be happy about. Then we'll conveniently walk right out in PJ's since security and nursing staff all vanished for no reason, steal a car and not be pursued by anyone at all. Wtf.
I mean, yes, I get the whole existential pondering and the important memories blahblahblah, but there was nothing else to it. The characters barely connected with one another. There wasn't even room for the reader to properly bond with the characters, because they're pretty much nondescript in terms of personality. The story prologue sets everything up, and it progresses in a straight line from there, nothing enhances the plot. I was in no way expecting or desiring a happy ending, but either way it was lame for me. I kept clicking and hoping they would just jump off a roof together, actually. ._.
I wonder what the surprise from ag is? You must have some inkling?
Another thing I'm not comprehending... the "genius coder" again. You're coding it for ag, this person you so admire for, among other things, his coding. But then you said the css isn't even his code? Even though it's for his own website? What?
