So, my computer is so FUCKED right now -_-; I've decided to just do the HP Recovery discs, but I'll do them tomorrow. >_> I wonder if I can at least play my game a little or if I should try to do a little more research, but after spending all day trying to do this or do that with things, I've just given up. It's fine. I've been meaning to do this for a while anyways. I'm trying to back up my games (at least Fate/Stay Night and Ever17) I don't know if they'll work after the computer is done, but it's worth a try.

I don't care much about my music files - I can get those back and I'm seriously music obsessive.

I've backed up a few things on my flash drive, including my Photoshop.

>_< Just pisses me off. Some of my computer functions are shut down and everything. Dammit!!

I stopped using any kind of virus or spyware protection like 5 years ago. I feel like the internet was a lot sketchier pre-2005, mostly pre-torrents, when I would have to get things off of weird FTP servers or P2P programs. Back then I kind of needed to be careful, but now I just cant justify the drain on my memory. I havent had a virus in years, and I kind of have to wonder how Norton and McAfee stay in business when a little bit of education in computer safety does the trick without the wasted money, time, and memory.

Anyway: Max, run your anti-virus and anti-spyware programs in Safe mode (Press F8 during boot up for choices), also go to your msconfig and disable anything you dont recognize.
