I actually liked Detritus a bit if only for the fact he'd actually hold a discussion/argument. Most people just kind of "alright Scy posted time to change the subject" around here. Then again, I'm probably the only "been here awhile" poster that doesn't <3<3<3 everyone to death. I like discussion/constructive arguments/anything that isn't mindless agreeing.

In regards to slow updates and all that ... meh. I find most the information ahead of time anyway and, quite frankly, I visit here out of habit and not so much for real news (and for the occasional EO question to answer).

But it is rather counterproductive for a "news fansite" to lack news in regards to new users; quite frankly, to say otherwise is rather silly. Yes, there are users who joined for the sake of community but, in all honesty, those are rare (or they don't stay very long).

And as for criticism ... ... ... I dunno. Most of it ends in hugs and kittens and such (or is extreme and someone is butthurt / banned). There have been other people before banned / left due to things. Detritus is far from the first (and, really, he wasn't that bad).

Scy would be a much happier and friendly person after a nice pegging.

Kitsune, I do not mind it when people criticize me and my rules. Kino and Zeta are both MODs because they DID challenge my rules. Remme is right, you haven't been here long enough to see this, nor have you delved enough into some of the old topics. I'll be the first to tell you: I'm not perfect. Voice your opinions.

I do not mind posts like these. However, don't think I'm not going to defend myself. Am I mad at you for showing your views? Of course not, as long as you are being constructive. Detritus I banned because I was pissed off that night, he was frequently trolling, and honestly, I do regret the way I acted and said as much.

<_<; I thought I was a fairly lenient person. I like threads that offer conversations and I LOVE wandering, but all posts must still be on topic in some way. For example, we have a way of wandering through odd conversations about games in the "games you are playing" topic. However, a conversation about Pokemon in a thread about Dark Spire is a little much. I'm going to jump in and say something. I'm not yelling at all or yelling at anyone in particular. I hope you don't feel that way.

If I get mad at you about something you will receive a PM. If you are unsure about whether something you are posting is going off topic: post it anyways! I seriously do not give a shit if a topic starts to derail but I, as an Admin, have the obligation to say something and/or make a post that brings it back on topic.

And while I do have rules, one of the other things I believe in my limited forum experiences (mine and on others) that sometimes Admins need to understand when it's best to skip a few rules and jump the gun if it's at all necessary. If I think a person is being extremely nasty, I will not follow my rules - I will do what I think is best.

If you do not think it was right, speak up. Others probably think the same. Depending on what their points are, I will listen and judge myself.

I've been under attack several times - especially in my own NSFW section. <_<; Ok, ok. Believe me, they are not my defense force. I've never felt that way and I thought it was odd that Scy would say that. I thought that most of the posts in regards to yours was attacking both of us. ^_^;

To be quite honest, Kitsune, I am not the sort of person who wants to be an admin or a mod. I honestly don't think I'm the sort of person who should be up for the job. I rely so MUCH on my mods. I'm too quick tempered and stubborn. My Mods are my Ego-Busters. That's why I picked people who argued against me. Kino and Zeta did that, and they did it damn well. Noodles is probably the one exception to this rule but I think he has potential and I allowed him on because I think he has some extra stuff to adds to the community by being in the position.


As for bringing other people to help me work on the site - I'm coming to the same conclusion, too. However, I wonder if I can find people who will be good for it? I do not want just some random crap posted. I want well written update posts and you will need to understand enough html and know how to work through a CMS.

^_^ And promise that there will be NO swearing. And understand that I may or may not tweak your posts - but your names will always be under them.

If you or anyone else wants to give it a shot, I'm up for trying. I do need some help. <_< I've tried to ask for help with certain projects in the past, but I rarely ever receive it. And even from my MCLoZ days, I know how staff members are. Within the first two months their exquisite work turns to shit or is not turned in at all until they finally fall off the face of the earth by the fourth month. I guess they didn't realize exactly how much work was invovled?

You can ask Starfe, actually. He was one of my staff members in the past. He actually worked on MCLoZ for a few years, but... >_< GODDAMMIT, STARFE, DO THE WORK SO I CAN GET IT UP!! DEADLINE DAMMIT!! DEADLINE!! T-T How many times did we spend up to 4am working on a project together because if I just left it to you by yourself, you would never do it. *sob*


As for my MMO. I'm not Maxine MagicFox on there. I don't even bother talking about my life at all on there. When I need to hide from who I am at all - it's the best place to go. There I'm either Morren or Arauna and no one knows anything past that.

Oh, btw, the NSFW section was made when a member named Seniwac posted a story about Trance that was rather degrading but no less than some of Sampson's stories. A member from the Atlus Forums who had a grudge against me personally (*sigh* I get this a lot... -_-; I guess I'm not that loveable of a person) jumped on here and started taking it offensively and this launched .

When things started getting too heated I decided to move the story to a NSFW section to try to appease everyone. It actually took some while before the area became "active". I want to blame the yaoi thread and Sampson's stories for that.

End of story is: Maxine is swamped with life and cannot update the site as it needs.

Possible fix to this: If anyone would like to try to be a news poster for ItL now and in the future, then please PM me and we will talk it over. ^_^


Other story: Maxine is not a great administrator. Please forgive her many mistakes and your opinions and suggestions are always welcome, however, please make sure that you are not simply posting it because you are just peeved at me but because you want to better the site and the forums.

No, he just said he was leaving. I really don't think he should've been banned, but that's just me.

Oh, and there is a circle of friends here. This is most likely due to the fact that there's never been a lot of actually "active" members here, so most of those who were just really talked with mostly each other...not a problem, but it does make it intimidating for new members.

Seriously, just look at the Memberlist. It has a lot of people with a couple posts and few with over 50, and even fewer of those actually post here regularly.

I didn't realise detritus had been banned. As noodles noted, he simply said posted a parting message about being done here. There was no need to ban him too, as he was leaving anyway.

Circle of friends. Do I get to sit next to Kimiko?

I believe the circle of friends image is there because ItL has drawn a certain flavour of people. While this is an odd example, it is somewhat entertaining that people with a straight sexual orientation are a minority. I think it is just a result of drawing a very open-minded crowd. It also pains me to acknowledge that many of our regulars are universally friendly. We need more posters like Scy to bring balance. :[
