So, it's back to the old grind stone with my ass. x_x Test next week in my java class. >_< "SO WE MEET AGAIN!! GYAAAAAH!!!" I WILL NOT BE DEFEATED THIS TIME!! T-T
Also with the news of the test we got our first projects. Three programs to code out. Fortunately they are all simple ones and relatively familiar. Pretty much it's taking some of the projects from last semester and translating them over. The good news is at least there's not much logic to hammer out. x_x I hope....
*sigh* -_-;

LOL, I had a weird conversation yesterday with one of my customers.
I was one the headset at work talking over the speaker when one of my customers at the window compliments my voice again (I get it a lot for some god unknown reason. I don't think my voice is really all that great. I would chalk it up to them being just seniors who are being nice and grateful to have heard a voice they could understand but it's happened with such a wide variety of people on such a strangely consistent basis).
The guy goes on to say then that I should try something in the DJ business with a voice like me. ^_^; I tell him that I'm into journalism and he's like "You'd be great in front of a camera." "Uhh, no, I just enjoy writing it." "What a waste. You know, maybe you should even try something at like voicing cartoons or something." And he kinda went on and on about some of that.
Was really kinda weird. :\
Seriously, I don't think my voice is all that great - no different from another's. I have a bit of a volume problem (well, not really, just, when I talk in full voice it's pretty easy to hear me across the room I guess). I can't whisper for shit (back to that volume problem). And I trip and fumble easily over my words. I'm a very unpracticed speaker. Most of my life was spent in the back of a classroom trying to make myself as small as possible so others wouldn't notice me and I enjoy my writing and reading.
It's just like... what the hell... x_x;

There's a big difference about what I meant. I didn't mean "life gets better when education has ended." High school was bullshit.
The education and the life you get to have after high school and through college (granted, I've only gone to community so I dunno about universities and dorms and shit) has been so much better there is simply no comparison.
My life didn't end when I left High School, it's only just begun ^_^.
Journalism class was just so awesome. I remember taking one during High School. It was the worst experience of my life. The class was filled with a bunch of idiots, none of whom enjoyed writing, and all of whom were looking for a fucking easy A. In college, my journalism class was filled with actual people that gave a damn! Writers just like me! And even if they weren't into writing, they were still into the whole arena of it (broadcast students were required to take a course in journalism). And even if they didn't like the writing aspect, they still did it while seeming to care. If nothing else, they had a bunch of awesome topics and points of view that added into the discussion.
To be in a class with others who are similar to you. The experience was rejuvenating and thrilling. And to be taught by someone who knew and worked in the field and who didn't just say "uhh... well... the text book says to do it like this so I... guess.. that's how it's done?" LOL, it was great. The school had bought new computers and software and the guy was actually putting them down by saying, "Uhh, yeah, I think they did you guys a disservice rather than helping. In the industry, you get what the company gives you - and that's usually an out-dated cheap piece of shit."
o_O;; Umm... I'm ranting. ^_^ Sorry.
:3 My web developement classes are no different, either. ^_^; Though I sometimes feel a little left out of conversations when someone in the Java class starts asking if something could be done a certain way and the teacher is like "No, you could get away with that with C+ but not Java."
To be around people that care about education. <3
My statement still stands: Life gets better after High School.
