Yes, it is indeed a visual novel. It's a free one, to be exact, and you can download it off that site. It's short, as well, taking me only one day to have read through it all.
It's a very beautiful story, but it is a sad one. It stars two characters, the nameless boy narrator, and the girl Setsumi, but the VN is more about Setsumi than him. They are both very, very sick and they will not get well. This is not a story of some miraculous cure being found for them. I really can't tell you must about the story since it means so much to many different people. You take what you get from it. The storyline, however, is that when the boy is entered into hospice care, he meets Setsumi, and later they manage to escape from 7F. The story is about this last voyage of Setsumi's.

of a girl whose heart was standing still
and a boy whose breath was being stolen away,
both of whom die.
It is a VERY sad Visual Novel. I cry so hard every time I read it. However, it's very beautiful.
The second game is also free and it will be up for download as soon as it is complete. We've been waiting for it since the game was release in '07. It has been a VERY long wait *sigh*.
This game is prologue, starring a much younger Setsumi, however, from what I understand, she is not even the focus point in this particular story, though she is there.
^_^ I suppose I'm weird for being excited over a VN that I know is going to be really depressing, but, the story is just that beautiful to me.
