If it wasn't for the fact that I work tomorrow I would be at my family reunion RIGHT NOW.

I can't believe I'm not at my family reunion. I'm pulling a double Saturday (10am-10pm) and then driving the 3 hours south to the reunion. I'll make it in time down there about 1am, have time to say SURPRISE before crashing. BUT! I'll be able to get up Sunday and see everyone. I'll have about 6 hours to greet about 80 relatives, so that's about 4.5 relatives an hour.

Goodness, can I name them all? Keep in mind I'm discussing only my father's family. (My mom's side is super easy and much smaller)

Well, my dad's siblings + children + grandchildren:

Aunt Elsie + Uncle Leoman

- Patty + David

(Madison, Brooklyn, Mitchell, Abigail)

Aunt Georgia + Uncle Ed

The grandchildren are between 26 (Leslie and Emily) and 5 (Abigail, the baby).

My grandparents (my father's parents) are both deceased. My father is 11 years younger than his brother Bill and 21 years younger than his sister Elsie.

At the family reunion, however, there are my grandfather's brother's and sister's kids and their descendants. So, like, my dad's aunt's cousins' sister's whatever, I just call them all "Cousin" after a point.

I'm sorry, I can't actually list HOW they are related, but there are the cousins who are older than me: Will, Dave, Evan, Matt, Leslie, Kendra. And the cousins who are my age or a bit younger: Rachel, Bonnie, Alicia, Acie, Kyle, Katie, Kelsey, Trey, Louis, Tony. And then the babies, who are significantly younger than me (children of the older cousins I listed): Jackson, Gabe, etc. I forget them all.

And then their parents: Colby and his wife (can't recall her name at the moment), Jamie + Ed, Connie + Herschel, Sylvia + JimBob, Sammi, Frank + Shirley.

And their grandparents: Curtis + Dee, Betsy + Gary. Big Acie died last year, as did Minnie Lou.

And there's another dozen or so who don't come to the reunion regularly or stay the whole weekend, and thus I haven't interacted with them as much as the people I can name.

Damn, o_O I can only name my mother, father, uncle, aunt, grandpa, grandma, and 2 of my cousins T_T

I can name the following: (those in color are now .... gone -_- )

Dad's parents: Elsworth&Marylinn
Dad's side brothers: Joel, Matt, Paul

Mom's parents: Oscar&Marie (yeah, mom insisted I be named after her mom, so this is my middle name)
Mom's side(sisters & brothers): Bonny, Judy, Louise, Luther, Aunt Ruby, Uncle____ (mom was the youngest of 7 and Grandma Marie has three(?) husbands. I think only Uncle___ is full brother, but I can't remember).

Cousins: Joel&Debby(divorced) > Janey, Andy, Joey
Janey&Unknown > ___, ___(I only found out recently that she had a second child)

Matt&Debby(?I think that was her name, no relation to above) > Tiffany (adpoted)

Bonny&Corbin(recently divorced) > Kristy and Jason
Kristy > ?? does she have kids?
Jason > a cut red-headed boy whose name escapes me

Judy&Paul(no, not my dad's Paul) > Poly...kae... errr I dunno how to spell it. and Ronda-Jean (sp again?)
Ronda > estranged from the family so I've no idea
Poly > Christy&__ (her twin), Mikey

Louise&Kelsy > was she the one with eight kids? or was that the one I can't remember. Well, one of them has one kid named Corey and the other has eight kids who were all adult by the time I was ten. I believe Louise is the eight kids. Ruby... I have no idea who her husband is o_O;

Luther&--many wives -- > I don't think so. One of his wives is now lesbian and the other was an old bitch. I've... no idea.

and that's about all I know. I recognize names when my mom says them, but I can't remember all if they were people that are even related to us or if by some mysterious blood tie.... or Grandma Marie's affairs/previous husbands.

That and plus, I'm not close to the family at all. Dad's side I know a little more and am "closer" but... mom's side... I tend to keep away from.

I am similar to Maxine in that aspect i suppose, since whenever any family approaches me i try to find the most vacant corner in the room and sit alone <.<
