<_< I think we all know how busy McDonald's gets on that one day, if i had to estimate maybe 1/2 of McDonald's profit comes from student's getting out of school. On the other hand what in gods name was this man thinking. "I'll break some of they're property in order to remedy their mistake, even though they too are mortal and make mistakes!" or something to that extent, maybe he actually made a mistake the first time backing into it and said "Crap! Gotta make it look like i did it on purpose*continue's ramming* " so he did XD
Sorry to hear about the upcoming bad times though, no speaker = bad business or at least less. >_>

God, what a shame. Words can't even express how sad that makes me. How disgusted I feel, but... also proud at the same time for the few that do what they can for even the smallest. I think this was the most touching image for me:

I wish that it was a pudding spill instead. At least it would be as delicious as it is tragic.

The comments to the article are a bit insulting to anyone's intelligence.
"common sence" "once [ounce]" and stupid 'solutions' to the Green idea? Oh joy, just what I expected.
Not that I find the spill good, mind you, just that the people commenting are stupid.
Edit: I guess to expand on this, it's not like what occurred was purposeful on the part of BP. Yes, this is tragic and the amount of damage done is ridiculous but they [the Oil Companies] have been taking precautions to _not_ allow this to happen. Just because it DID happen does not mean that they are slacking, that they allowed this. There is no 100% foolproof mechanism.
*shrugs* I just find a lot of the comments from people who are A) Doing nothing to help and B) Attacking those who "caused it" are completely stupid.
And, yes, I tried to read all ~800 comments. It's just kind of sad that the reactions of these people to the story are aggression (even threats) when they don't know anything; that their response is loud mouth bullshit when they're doing nothing themselves.
Yes, there are responses that are actually "good" and "down-to-earth" so this isn't that they're all ridiculous but ... some of the comments are just kind of insulting and downright ridiculous.
