I find it beautiful as well. Even with all of the houses and forests and stuff that get burned to the ground, and though I am happy when it ends, I don't regret the experience of it.

I'm glad I don't live in the hills though :V I can see the effects but I'm well out of harm's way, down here in the coastal plain

California burns sometimes. The vegetation is very dry, so a flicked cigarette can destroy miles of stuff.

I don't know where you live, but it's in the news whenever it happens. There is always a fire, that's natural enough, but the last several years have been terrible.

Oh. Well, I almost never watch TV, so I kinda miss out on that kind of stuff.
Still, sorry to hear that.

... I'm glad that you guys already commented on the beauty of those images. I felt like such a horrible person there for a moment when I started scrolling down and my first thought was "Ooooh! That's a beautifuly image! What is it? ...... o_o oh god... it's the fires..."

Fire is a beautiful thing and the images are masterful. I just wish it wasn't destroying lives in the process.
