Watching an episode of Mystery Diagnosis. This person is showing this young child's real pictures on the show. A bunch of blisters and the doctors are saying it's "chicken pox". ..... I'm no doctor but even I agree, that's not fucking chicken pox. How the fuck could they even come to that kind of a diagnosis. o_O;;
.... some of these episodes are amazing by how stupid the doctors are.
Sorry, I had to rant. LOL ^_^;;

Oatmeal baths are awesome. That and calamine lotion is my mom's standard treatment for chicken pox/poison ivy -- stuff that you want to scratch so bad but can't.
Oatmeal baths are exactly what they sound like. Run a warm bath, and pour in a packet of oatmeal bath solution (or make your own, I guess). It's an old folk remedy, but it actually works. It relieves the itching immediately and even for a few hours afterward. I'd take one a couple times a day because while in the bath it didn't itch anymore, and I liked playing in the bath as a kid. (I wanted to be a mermaid)
I remember wearing my favorite nightgown; it was white with little pink flowers, so I thought it was appropriate for chicken pox. I didn't have to stay in bed, though, I got to play Legos and video games and stuff. I was in the 1st or 2nd grade I think.
