@ "common/accepted in the chat/gaming community" - You mean the mostly male heterosexual part of said community who don't give a damn about anyone who isn't like them. There are plenty of people who don't like pretending that words like 'fag' and 'rape' are innocent, everyday, haha-funny terms. I would hope that a mod on ItL would show more social responsibility than that.

Still, generalizing means defining an entire group of people based on behavior that not all of them participate in. I'm not saying it's inaccurate, just that it is unfair.
[hide]Though, really, all generalizations are unfair.[/hide]

I think my biggest gripe is the common application of the youth where they use gay synonymously for weird, mediocre or not fun.

Best idea ever!
Instead of using "friend" as a suffix, we say "whore."
Technically, the word isn't derogatory (I admit to it sounding anti-anti-fancy), and the effect of the original "far away grammarism" isn't lost!
You know, grammar-whore, cam-whore, lamp-whore...
And the best part is the fact that nobody here is a prostitute! Nobody will be offended!
I am entirely serious.

(Nobody knows I'm a prostitute? Awesome! I'll pretend this doesn't offend me so they don't get tipped offf)
