I really need to upgrade Ana. She isn't running games as well as some of her competition. 2 GB of ram and an ATI Radeon 4350 just isn't cutting it. This week I am looking to step it up to 4 GB ram, but I'm weighing whether or not I want to buy a new video card now or wait until boxing day.

It's an HTPC card, it's not meant to actually try to run games...

Poor thing can't even break 24 FPS on nigh-minimal settings on about five different semi-recent games. When I try to bodyblock explosions on my Assault in Global Agenda it just drops to about 1 FPS and I jetpack straight past the target.

Yeah I figured as much. We have a 5450 lying around that couldn't handle my micro in Starcraft 2 on low. It made me sad. A 460 was quickly purchased after that to rectify this problem.

Anyway, I'd definitely, definitely, definitely upgrade that card long before the RAM. Yes, 2 GB of RAM is a little depressing but unless you're in drastic need of >2GB RAM, it's not like adding more gives you a performance boost that's noticeable for gaming. It's definitely something that can be done after a proper card if you plan to use the rig for gaming.

Then again, more RAM is cheaper than a new card but, hey, it's not like it's actually doing much for you.

I have never seen it snow on Halloween, now that I think about it. Not that it hasn't been cold, of course. I think one of the coldest years was the year I went as a school-girl in the tiniest skirt possible. ;____; my god were my legs cold that year.

Also I don't have costume for this year. I don't even have my petticoat! I left it behind in Oklahoma.
