They're both pretty good. Yūzō Koshiro is just good. But "Petal Bridge" is still better.
Speaking of Koshiro-san, I liked his work on Ys I & II very much as well. I'm still not sure if I want to play Ys III (Oath In Felghana) though. 'Yet another male-only hero saving distressed damsels with a sword' versus 'music by Yūzō Koshiro'..

I think my favorite composers/artists are something like this:
Shoji Meguro
Yoko Kanno
Yoko Shimomura
With Yuzo Koshiro added to the list, That's really just the ones I can recognize or have become very familiar with so I guess it isn't much of a list. But Xenosaga moved my frigging soul as a series, And Wolf's rain, and ghost in the shell gives me pleasent memories when I listen to its music.
I need to collect more good music...Do we have a music thread yet?
