The 4th of July is one of the few times a year that I'm sad I live in the city and not back in the podunk small town in which I grew up. Nobody gets dangerously intoxicated in sleeveless shirts and lights off fireworks here.

Yeah, my new favorite singer is minori chihara. Might be out of the blue, but yeah, I like her somewhat-deeper voice.

Twice this week it flash-flooded in Ghent/downtown on my way home from work.

One of those times I took a cab.

Cab ride from hell. I thought I'd never make it.
*whimper* it... was terrifying.

I guess I shouldn't be quite so surprised that it floods here so awful, but yet I am.

Also I went to the beach and made a sand castle/played in the sand.

A 25 year old woman, in a bikini, playing in the sand.

yeah, I'm pretty cool.

When did they move Ghent from Belgium to the USA?

No flash flooding here, but the weather is pretty awful nonetheless. Heavy rain, and strong wind. Except for the temperature perhaps it feels just like autumn. And after a spring that felt like summer (very warm and sunny), one starts to wonder what kind of weather autumn will bring
