I hope all the east-coasters here in Irene's path weather the storm safely.

.
I am content with my desktop. Even if I were on the go, I rather just read a book or refer to more traditional portable gaming. But with all that aside, it is a neat concept.

Made it through Irene just fine. Lost power for about 17 hours, but I was really surprised how fast power was restored. Last time a major storm came through was in 2003, and I heard it took 5 days for power to be restored in my neighborhood.
I took a bunch of pictures of the huge trees that came down in our neighborhood. I walked and drove around a bit today collecting cars and visiting friends. On the whole my area, at least, has fared far better than expected. I think we only got 7.50 feet of flooding at Norfolk Naval, which, again, isn't great but could be worse. I heard about some fatalities, though, and that's sad.
I have work tomorrow, which is super lame. I'll have double the receiving to do (we didn't receive on Friday since we closed early) and my co-worker won't be there to help me.
