They were on sale at Walmart. :3 My god I love it!!

It's going to take some getting use to for the double-finger scroll, but everything else seems absolutely gorgeous right now. :3 VERY happy owner at the moment.

God, I can watch anime again... and play games...

My husband's desktop is fully operational and just needs to be set up in the office nook. (we stored it in the hallway for the hurricane). I can't wait.

^_^; So I ended up removing the stickers from the inside of it after spending all afternoon getting the rest of my important programs up. It's official: this thing is mine. I'm not going to take it back (unless something really fucked up happens internally).

It's still a pain trying to get the hang of the two-finger scroll thing, but I'm going to get it... eventually, I swear. The rest of my "dislikes" are just nitpicky stuff and things that will be resolved with time (such as the keys being stiff... grrrr... give me a few typing sessions with my stories and I'll loosen these keys up eventually... though at the same time I like the feel of them beneath my fingers... :3 so, I hope they don't loosen up TOO soon... LOL, I'm so weird.)

Hehe, also had to end up turning down the screen brightness. Damn thing can put off some light now. o_O; Sheesh!

The only thing that managed to piss me off beyond belief isn't really "computer" related but software related. I HATE word. I LOVE works. Guess what I discovered today? Microsoft Works did not come with the computer. o_o huh? But it always comes with HP computers in the past!

Instead, it came with some Office Starter program, which would be fine, sorta, except that Microsoft in all its gay bitchiness decided to put a task pane down the right 1/3 of the screen and guess what this pane does - it's ONLY and PRIMARY function?

Advertisements.

And there's no way to take it off.

:[ I... acquired a copy of Microsoft Works this afternoon.

I will NOT sit there typing away at The Little Questors while advertisements are flashing by on a pretty big portion of the screen. No. That won't fly.
