For what it's worth, setup is basically "what time zone do you live in?" and "what kind of lights do you have?" and then it takes over from there.

Oh, no I'm not saying it would be difficult or anything, it's just that it's more than I want.

Oh, alright. My roommate swears by it since it helps reduce eye strain. I have a pretty nice setup of blackout curtains for home and my work office is away from windows so I don't necessarily get much out of f.lux. That and I feel that, unless I fuck with it immensely, I'll end up with a too warm or cool (color wise) display for watching stuff.

I have f.lux but I can't seem to get used to the orange-y colors at nighttime. I know you can adjust it, but I'm too lazy to even do that ;_;

As for Microsoft Office; I got a free copy from my university a long time ago and just kept all the install files. Free Office 2000 for everyone!

I used to type all my stories in plain ol' notepad.

As for text writing, I use notepad for the small stuff, open office for the major stuff, since I don't like paying to get a lab paper or English Essay done [already have to pay for ink and paper.]
