My house is thankfully out of the flood zone... kinda creepy though because down the road and a few hills the streets are flooded. Our local grocery store is flooded even. My college actually (right beside my house) is being used as an evacuation center.
*sigh* Thankfully it seems the levee system is holding so my job has not been washed away (yet)... here's to hoping it will keep.
o_O; Dunno where we're going to get break and milk. Shit, this just happened SO FAST. I went home yesterday thinking "meh, I'll the stuff up tomorrow. It's raining and I don't wanna get wet." .... .... THEN MY DAD COMES HOME AND SAYS "THEY ARE PUTTING UP FLOOD GATES!!" O_O WHAT?!!

@Starfe - Technically I made it through all 24 days. There may or may not have been two days in a row when I was sent home early from both the bookstore and the office due to an alleged "103 degree fever"... but I don't know, these are just rumors, and thermometers are totally known for their unreliability...
< <
And after all of that, I had a three-day weekend! It was Glorious. I've never been so happy to be able to clean my own home. : 3

103 degree fever.. Maybe it was those forest barbecues heating things up?
Also, Rain, we still love you. Just don't rain when I go from home to work or vice versa, okay?

USA, land of the natural disasters? It's starting to seem that way.

I shop there. To the left of it, out of the picture, is a grocery store where I normally pick up my bread and milk that I mentioned in a previous post. -_- *sigh*
At least the levee held. I dunno if the river has been said to crest yet or not or if it's going down yet (just woke up). Ugg. This is so awful.

Edwardsville, where my work is and other places, is still blocked off to me - and probably still evacuated.
What a mess. How sad. I wonder how the water is closer to me here in Nanticoke down the road. I've not heard anything about this area even on the news. Looks like it's going to rain again today even. ENOUGH ALREADY!!

Geez, things are all fudged up. Wind and water where we don't need it and fire going beserk, and then the earth who can't sit still.
