Most "fuck yeah TEXAS!" mottos and sayings come from when they fought a war for independence against Mexico, declared themselves a sovereign state, and then joined up with the USA. Hence being "the Lone Star State" "Don't Mess with Texas" etc

As for "Texas Represent" itself... never heard that one specifically. Maybe Scy can chime in with better information.

Its not Texas specific, basically "anything, represent" is a common way to identify yourself with a particular group. Its likely from hip hop culture, "Harlem, represent" etc.

That's what I was thinking (east coast, represent!) but I thought maybe Kimiko meant something Texas-specific.

Well, I'd only heard it from Texas, so I thought it was specific to that state.

I type this fervently on my (rather cheap, in hindsight) Razer mechanical. CAN YOU FEEL THE CLICKETY CLACK.

I hate noisy keyboards. No clickety clack. Just no. Not sure if anything is enough to make me ignore clicketyclack.
