Most of it will involve two people playing console games. Not sure about PC games yet.

I'd watch if it's a CHILDREN'S CARDGAME. Or RTS. Or Heroes of Might & Magic.

Well, it is not so much an objective, as it is the approach.

Let's Plays are about someone playing a game, and they talk either because they think they are funny, to keep the audience interested in their boring game, or because they like to hear themselves. It all starts and end with the game. Not the subject matter.

In this event, the focus is more about the actual discussion that is going on... everything from something deep and philosophical, to something as simple as complaining about cheap cups from coffee shops. It is best imagined as someone having a radio talk show while the people on the show are playing a game, but you can see it.

As it is supposed to be relaxed and, well, fun for the people involved, of course there would be banter related to the game being played... but to a small degree. The whole idea stems from the fact people just love to gather around while I sit down and talk with someone over tea. They love to hear the kind of things I have to say and laugh at my ridiculous imagination. Perhaps the appeal can carry over to an Internet audience. Big maybe. A lot is lost when it goes through a microphone and the flow might not work well with every guest.

Timing the critical hits with the verbal jibes would be best, but very hard to pull off without editing.

I think a cooperative game would work best, and the discussions be extremely chatty and topical, and every so often interrupted by actual gameplay talk.

Example, while playing something like Army of Two and discussing the debt crisis in Europe, you're like "Blah blah Brussels blah blah Greece blah blah Debt Crisis?"

and your guest is like "Blah blah UK blah blah David Cameron blah blah -- Get some Aggro and clear out that sniper's nest, would you? -- blah blah Eurozone"

I could see that being interesting.

Incidentally I've always wanted to record my own Let's Play of Earthbound, but I fear it'd be rather boring.

I think it is an interesting idea that seems like it could be enjoyable. Talking about real life is always interesting. I'd listen to it.

random tangent that I gotta express:

was in the car with my sister the other day. A song came on with what I will admit is a catchy tune and she started whistling to it.

o_O Until I began to make out sorta what the hell the lyrics were saying. MY GOD THAT WAS A SICK SONG!! o_o I asked her if she knew what the hell she was whistling to and she was like "no. Can't really make it out. Who cares, it's a fun song."

.... I didn't have the heart to tell her the truth. *shrugs* Maybe I misunderstood the lyrics. It's not like I caught most of them.

^_^ Ok. I'm done. Moving on. Just had to vent about that. Maybe I should try to look up the lyrics (if I could remember them) and see if maybe I'm making a big deal over nothing...
