My family is quite poor... I'm almost embarrassed to share what I received ;__;
Presents:
Grey leggings (for under my skirts in the winter)
Two pairs of knee socks
A can of de-icer for my car
Carrying case for my digital camera
Stocking:
Candy-cane striped knee socks with a soft fuzzy cuff
An ice-scraper
2 pairs of silver-y dangle-y earrings
Tiny bottle of honey, some chocolates
A 3 musketeers bar
Some wall hooks to hang picture frames
Chapstick
Travel sized tissue pack
roll of Necco wafers
roll of lifesavers
a Pencil
bottle of Elmer's glue
Pack of thin balloons (like for animal balloons)
a Cherry kool-aid packet
A bottle of A1
^_^ My Christmas was enjoyable. I'm wearing the candy cane-style socks right now and they are awesome. The weather was VERY warm today -- nearly 70 degrees -- so I wore the new socks and a knee-length skirt (to show them off).

^^; I'm not ashamed of my family. We're poor but I've never wanted for anything. My parents have taught me to be frugal and thrifty, which are useful skills, and the appreciation of the small things.
I'm wearing another pair of new socks today. They're pink with pinwheels, cupcakes and lollipops. <3
Merry ex-Christmas, Kimiko! Do you do Boxing Day things on the 26th?
I'm saving up money to buy a laptop. That's my real present. >_>

No, there's no Boxing Day here. We have First Christmas Day and Second Christmas Day. Just like First and Second Easter Day and 1st & 2nd Pentecost Day. Dutch are weird. Maybe it's to compensate for the the rest of the year?

What's Pentecost Day? We have the pentecostal church here, where they handle snakes and speak gibberish o_o but something tells me that's not what you do.
You really don't have many holidays... oo! Queen's Day. I hear that's fun ^_^
ETA:
I'm price-shopping laptops online. I think I've got one picked out that I really like that's at a really great price ($500). I'm just torn between two models that are nearly identical. It's at Newegg, which I've never used but I hear they have good service and everything.
Laptops:
Acer Extensa EX4420-5212 (AMD Turion 64 X2 TL-60 2.0 GHz)
14.1" LCD screen, 5.3 lbs (13" x 9.8" x 1.5")
Acer Extensa EX5630-4250 (Intel Pentium Dual-core T3200 2.0 GHz)
15.4" LCD screen, 6.34 lbs (14.2 x 10.5 x 1.5")
^Besides this, they're identical:
3 GB DDR2 Memory
250 GB Hard Drive
Vista Home Premium
DVD -R/+RW burner
Webcam
I'm leaning toward the AMD model. Any computer savvy people want to chime in their opinions lemme know!
