Re: DISCUSSION THREAD: kino is king of the post-count mounta
I always enjoyed Romeo and Juliet, but, I think it's not only partly that I liked laughing at the characters but there was a little bit of everything in it. From the bi-polar Mercutio, to the hapless teens love story, and from the aspect that both Romeo and Juliet are as flawed as the rest of their crappy family. That in truth if they ever did get a chance to ever know each other... more than likely... they wouldn't be in love. I could see it as a summer fling romance. For Juliet it was just a simple projection of the marriage she was being forced into and unable to control her life, and for Romeo it was an uncontrollable sex drive. Both were idiot cry-baby teenagers.
Like you guys I found the ending extraordinarily laughable and I think that's was its intent. The irony that all Romeo had to do was wait seconds longer before she opened her eyes - to the parents who come in and are like "ummm..... what just happened"
^_^ I love the story. I love it even more that people want to idolize Romeo when in fact he was just a sex starved frat boy. And that gorgeous Juliet was just a typical rebellious teen bitch who wanted to defy her parents in some way.
Suddenly the story reads no better (or worse) than Twilight. :3

Re: DISCUSSION THREAD: kino is king of the post-count mounta
....................... I didn't realize attachments could break my forums like this....... this will have to be resolved.... *sigh*
Anywho: So I took thursday and friday off because my sisters and I were planning on going to a water park. originally it was going to be thurs and I took fri off cause I didn't know what time we would get back and I didn't want to risk being too tired for work the next day. But she then changed it to friday which was fine.
So wednesday morning I have a small sneezing fit - nothing too worrisome. I've had them before. Except throughout the whole day I keep sneezing randomly. I truly think nothing of it and am making plans in my mind for thursday's free day. About 6pm (I got off at 7) I then realize my nose is starting to get a little runny and my throat is starting to feel a little scratchy.
T-T NOOOOOOOOOOOOOOOOOOO!!!!!!
I no sooner get home then I start crashing real bad. My joints start achy, my eyes start watering, and I just get SOOOOO tired. I went to bed around 9 texting my sisters about my condition. And I'm the type of person that doesn't go to bed until about 2am.
*sigh* I slept ALLLLLLL day, getting up periodically to read (finished off a re-read of Hunger Games and am starting City of Ember which I'm now half way through) and to play Wartune. But my laptop is at my bed as is my nook so it's not like I was going far. Uggg, I didn't even have the energy to eat or even take a shower (and I hadn't taken one since Tuesday night - I take my showers at night so when I went to bed early I was missing my shower). I just slept the whole day away. My sisters have decided we will go to the waterpark next Saturday. *sigh* I guess I took off these two days to be sick.
I started feeling better around 2am last night. And granted the only things I had had to eat was some ramen soup and some left over gulosh which wasn't much and wasn't very appealing (but I didn't have to fix it). Man though I was STARVING. ^_^;; 2am (prolly closer to 3am) and I got up and made me some eggs. That was weird and I'm sure like SO against every healthy diet in the world, but fuck that. I was shaky and I had woken up from the hunger pains. My body was like "EAT NOW BITCH!!" And of all things it was EGGS I was craving. I had me some sausage and some of those frozen tiny pancakes you heat up in the microwave but it was all I could do to eat those, my body just wanted the EGGS. I couldn't get them in my mouth fast enough.
Woke up around 9 and my GOD I feel so much better. At least my face doesn't feel like it weights a ton. Went back to bed just to be sure but woke up around 11 on my own and decided "MY GOD I NEED A SHOWER!!!!" I've never felt so grimy and disgusting T-T. I haven't had a shower since Tuesday!! Ewwwww!!!!!! And my GOD did that water feel GOOD. *-* awwwwwww I don't think I've ever felt that good putting shampoo into my hair.
Damn... what a mess though.... -_-; I hadn't brush it since I put it up in its pony tail for work on wednesday and it was severely tangled. Thought I was never going to be done brushing it. Having long hair has some serious disadvantages.
:3 But I feel so HUMAN again. My chest feels a little congested but not asthma-y, and my throat is still a little bit sore but nothing that a throat lozenge can't help. ^_^ I think it's going to be a good day. ...I'm still going to take it easy, though. I might get dressed if only just to step outside and get some fresh air, but I don't plan on going anywhere.
*sigh* -_- And I should have been going down water slides right about now....

^ xD Oh, Liferake.
So, I visited my family (aunt, uncle, cousin, grandmother) a couple of days ago. Uncle Forest asks me if I'd like to see the small collection of his father's WWII memorabilia. Absolutely fascinating. He pulls a couple of old cigar boxes out of a cabinet and proceeds to show me a crap ton of amazing pieces of history. @___@; A Nazi armband, several pins pulled from Nazi soldiers, small knives (one with a lion-shaped handle carved from ivory and another one with an eagle's head designed to attach to a gun), some super teeny tiny guns... Oh my goodness. There's a mini museum at my uncle's house. I can't even remember everything I saw, but it was amazing and haunting and next time I visit I'mma take a video of it all.

Oooooh Derringers. You're so humorously terrifying with your compact size.
Re: DISCUSSION THREAD: kino is king of the post-count mounta
^___^;;; Sometimes when I am enthusiastic I describe a thing instead of naming it, even though I know the name. There's a word for that, but coincidentally enough I can't for the life of me remember what it is.
Anyway, it was awesome. : P
EDIT:
I FOUND THE WORD IT'S CIRCUMLOCUTION AAAH I FEEL SO MUCH BETTER IN MY BRAIN.

Yes you should. Also Firefly. Especially Firefly.

Re: DISCUSSION THREAD: kino is king of the post-count mounta
Ditto on the Firefly.
I mean, the show has a zero-liner in at least one of the episodes.

Re: DISCUSSION THREAD: kino is king of the post-count mounta
Are you kidding me? I've watched Firefly all the way through three times and will probably re-watch it once a year for the rest of forever. I own two out of the three hardcover Serenity comic collections. :3
Buffy's been on my list of stuff to eventually watch ever since I realized Joss Whedon wrote both shows.
