^ I, on the other hand, would be suspicious and aloof. Last time somebody did that was weird and possibly insulting.

I'm almost always receptive to people attempting to strike up conversation with me, although I am generally quite hesitant to start them myself.

Despite my words, I am sort of with the PLA camp. When people approach me, I either give them as few words as possible until they take a hint (a good day) or stare into their soul, find nothing of interest, and carry on.

Though if I do sense engaging with someone has a purpose, I will do so. Using Maxine's case as an example, I would have simply commented on something they are looking at. "Oh, that's a good one.", "You should read the sequel.", etc.

Just got back from voting. My polling station, a local church, had this sign up today—election day.

I noticed it as I walked out of there wearing a bright "I voted" sticker.

I am suiting up and heading to the Zelda Symphony tonight. I look pretty classy in my suit and golden Triforce pin from Roselsnort, I gotta say.

*sigh* Nope. My own people have let me down again. *sigh* Can't expect Americans to do anything right. I guess I can't complain, though, since I didn't vote.

I'm sorry, Maxine, you have zero right to complain. Why did you not vote. "I was busy" is not a valid reason.

My reason: I did not approve of either candidate. Who was there to vote for? The absence of a vote can also be a statement, too, and the country should learn to recognize it. So, until there is a "no vote" option in the polls, the only way I can show my disapproval is by abstaining. I do not believe in "republic" "democratic" - I think my beliefs are too wide and varied to be contained within these two narrow, outdated roles. So I cannot even vote just for the sake of a particular party that I want to be in office.

*shrugs* This is how I feel.

I just feel that Obama should not be in office because his system obviously failed. Maybe a change might have made things a little better.

Doubt it.
