I saw that yesterday! I enjoyed it thoroughly.*edit
I always feel weird about watching prequels when I haven't seen the previous movies, though.

It was a good movie! I also really liked the design of the suits!

Ridley Scott denies that it's a prequel, but many fans of the franchise believe it to be. I haven't watched it myself, yet, but I intend to soon, and I'd like for it to be a prequel that sheds some light on the origins of the aliens.

I'm a big Alien fan and I very much felt it to be a prequel, it absolutely sheds light on the origins of the aliens, and the god damn Space Jockey (though a different one) as seen in Alien is in the damn movie! I feel that Ridley Scott's denial, coupled with the hush hush all the actors had in press events was more a way to allow the movie to be seen by a wider audience without fear that they would avoid it because its part of a series.
That said, I felt it was extremely watchable, even if you weren't an Alien fan. So I guess mission accomplished.
I fucking loved it. It was basically a sci-fi movie for lovers of the humanities.

I would love to see a follow-up to District 9 produced.

I've been watching the last few episodes of Eureka. Last week's episode was pretty great, Smart Carter is best Carter.
