Nils Karlsson Pyssling seems more homoerotic every time I watch it.

I thought that perhaps the 3rd one might include, say, Aragorn and Gandalf's search for Gollum, or something like that. But yeah, in general I'm a little hazy on exactly what will go into the 3rd film.

Perhaps 2 involving Smaug, and 3 is just dealing with the Battle of Five Armies and fleshing out more parts within that? Course, don't have a recollection of the Hobbit, so can't really tell what'll be on it. Might go to watch Django Unleashed later this day. Maybe.

Speaking of, my brother will be seeing both Django Unchained AND The Hobbit today. (The rest of us are just seeing The Hobbit.)

Finished season 4 of Dexter, and since I'm about to head away to a camp for a few days I'm trying to cram season 4 onto my old iPod touch to bring with me. This involves deleting most of the music off of it, but that's worth it.

Rewatched Iron Man.
Didn't like it much this time. Felt really simple, everything was so predictable.

Not really prediction though is it? =P
I'm catching up with Breaking Bad and damn, 2nd season is heavy going, by which I mean very good.

I didn't even remember the plot (saw it first back when it was in cinemas), so it was almost a new experience. A crappy one.

It's my favorite superhero film, I've seen it around a dozen times and still enjoy it.
If you want a truly unpredictable superhero flick, watch the 2003 Hulk. It's so unpredictable, you'll never know what's going on or why they couldn't edit the movie down to the 4 minutes of actual content it is.

While everyone I have encountered since seeing Les Misérables has already experienced my full fury over this totally incompetent anti-film, I feel like I will spare you guys and give you the short version. I will try to restrain myself, as anytime I have been asked my opinion on this film I have gone on a multi-page tirade.
Before fans of the musical come to the films defense, as has been the case everytime I have expressed this opinion, let me be clear, I have seen the musical and I am a fan of the musical. Les Misérables is a film based on a musical I like which was based on a book I like. The film is still fucking terrible. Truly God awful, overwrought, trash. It is poorly shot, the actors don't appear to be blocked so the camera is often struggling to keep them in frame, when they are in frame the shots are almost always too tight, the on-set singing is ineffective and trades movement/montage for interesting vocals which creates a pleasant listen but a boring view, it is paced in such a way as to create a truly boring film. In short: This is an adaptation that has totally failed to make a format transition. There are some pleasant performances, particularly Hugh Jackman who is fittingly cast as Jean Valjean because he carries the whole production on his back. But that is literally it. A few vignettes of occasionally competent song performances does not a movie make. Everything that is good about this film could have been garnered by listening to the soundtrack, because the film elements are so bereft of quality that it simply doesn't require looking at. God damn, the trailer was better than the movie. Go see Lincoln, go see Django, go see Zero Dark Thirty, hell, go see Amour. Do not see this fucking film.
