Started watching Arrow. I'm caught up to the second season, but I haven't gotten fully caught up yet. I'm hoping the Barry Allen accident happens soon.

I liked Thor 2 ok. It felt like a Star Wars movie, oddly enough. Spoilers below:

I have never been crazy about Thor or scifi, and this movie was both. It was pretty funny like the first one, but this one was somehow more campy than the last. Still, it was ok.

the first 20 minutes is probably the most important part of the movie, and the most central to its plot, other than the ending. and the meaning of the ending was never a secret lol.

i think it's meant to be both humbling from the idea that we were shaped by an extraterrestrial intelligence (not in a history channel way) and encouraging that we can become part of something unimaginable

as for the book though, they were made alongside each other but from the beginning one was meant to work as a book and the other was meant to work as a movie. the book has the same shit going on but with different specifics, and there is in general a lot more information and a lot more stuff that happens. the book is more technical and descriptive where the movie is almost entirely visuals in near silence. it's actually one of the most realistic depictions of space ever shown in a movie, and that shit was done in 1968! and the book eerily describes ipads and websites and stuff

I never liked Space Odyssey that much, it was too slow for me.

Have you people seen the latest Thor movie?

At first I was hesitant to catch up on Korra Season 2, but now it's 3 in the morning and I don't want to stop.

It was a joke. I am enjoying this show, though. I forgot about it because nobody I talked to liked s2.
