I finally saw Pacific Rim, it is basically the best movie.

I've only watched a couple of episodes from the first Star Trek series (Leonard Nimoy ftw! <3) and the newer movie with old Spock and young Spock and timeline paradoxes.

I watched the first five episodes of Spaced yesterday. I wasn't initially in the mood for a British show, but it pulled me in and I really like it.

Never seen a single episode of the original series. Not sure I want to.

What is Spaced like?

Have you seen Shaun of the Dead, Hot Fuzz, or World's End? It's like those with almost no plot. It's just Simon Pegg and Nick Frost and co. doing their thing, and it's incredible.

So do they just...space out? Seems fine to me, I love those two.

They live in the UK somewhere and crack jokes and have silly adventures.

And make lots of funny references to popular movies and video games. They throw a lot of sci-fi references in. The DVD version has a nifty "homage-o-meter" that tells you what they're talking about, which is handy for me 'cause I haven't seen a lot of stuff so it would fly right over my head otherwise.

The best one so far was during the paintball episode where one of the guys gets shot and dramatically pretends to die in his buddy's arms. The homage-o-meter identified it as "Every War Movie Ever."

I really enjoyed it. I cried as well. It was just so intense.
