Daniel Day Lewis is an incredible actor. The movie is worth watching for that fact alone.
That being said, I didn't actually enjoy the movie. Kind of like when I watched No Country for Old Men, which is equally good but wasn't enjoyable.
What can I say. I'm a sucker for happy endings and fun entertainment. Kind of like how I eye-roll whenever my co-worker gushes about certain books. Yes, yes, it might be a literary and critical beauty, but does it have gay wizards?

I'm going to lock my door. It seems like my anti-Canadian alarms are malfunctioning.

Watched Unforgiven.
It was interesting in that ultimately everything devolved into vengeful violence. But did that need to happen to make the movie compelling? I can't remember, did he even get the money at the end? Did everyone lose? There were a lot of nice little touches to show Clint moving away from the promises he made to his dead wife (like him drinking) but was KILLING EVERYONE really the best way for Clint to resolve the conflict?
I also refer to all characters portrayed by Clint Eastwood as "Clint Eastwood"

It's the same with books, too. I don't have to read books that are metaphor-laden and filled with character development and flowing language and all that. I'm more of a read-for-fun sort of person. Besides, I can take care of the first type of reading in english classes...

just got finished watching the first 3 seasons of Venture Bros.
God I love this show, and I'm glad I was finally able to watch a decent chunk of it- in order this time.
