Just got done watching The King's Speech, it was actually incredibly engaging. Dug it very much, would recommend highly.
So, of the best picture crop this year I've seen 7/10, and would put them in this order in how much I enjoyed them, but not necessarily in terms of quality, thus:
1. 127 Hours
2. The Fighter
3. The Social Network
4. The King's Speech
5. Inception
6. Black Swan
7. True Grit
The Kids are Alright is on my Netflix queue, still havent seen Toy Story 3, and I'm going to try check out Winter's Bone as soon as I can. I think The Social Network will probably walk off with the statue more for its buzz than quality, though I did enjoy it immensely. I think it will probably be The Social Network, The King's Speech, or Black Swan, though The King's Speech is probably the best choice. Social Network could be seen as a choice based on buzz alone while Black Swan could be seen as the art house choice. British movies are always the safe bet.. We'll see, anyway.
