Just watched tonight's rerun of the Game of Thrones premier. Loved it.

I watched Get Him to the Greek which was awful, dumb, and not that funny at all.

I wanted to see it because it's a "spiritual sequel/companion" movie to Forgetting Sarah Marshall, which is one of my top movies of all time. Russell Brand plays Aldous Snow of Infant Sorrow in both, and I did confirm that it's the exact same character (same name, there's a snippet of Inside of You that plays, and even Sarah Marshall herself pops up). I did spot the actress that played Yvonne, Duchess de Polignac, from Marie Antoinette though, and that was fun. Too bad the movie was just a total downer and not at all amusing.

Mr Kino and I agreed that Due Date was far superior.

Next on my agenda is I Love You, Philip Morris. I'm super excited about it; I wanted to see it when it was in theaters but lacked the $$.

The other day my friend handed me a piece of paper and wanted me to write my top ten favorite movies of all time. After much debate I hashed out something like this, in no particular order:

Harold & Maude
Fight Club
Maurice
All the Queen's Men
Marie Antoinette
Priscilla
Forgetting Sarah Marshall
Shawshank Redemption
Princess Mononoke
The Birdcage

Saw Your Highness tonight.

I must admit, it was pretty funny.

Which is weird, because my co-worker watched it with her fiance and they didn't like it either.

Mr Kino and I thought it was fucking hilarious. We were quoting it back and forth to each other the next day. We also both hated Get Him to the Greek. Our movie tastes aren't that similar, either. He loves "so bad they're good" B-movies, horror movies, and hates historical/period pieces; I love gay wizards, nature documentaries, and historical/period pieces.

Anyway. I loved the shit out of Due Date. I also love Robert Downey Jr so there's my huge bias. I'll watch anything with him in it. Kiss Kiss, Bang Bang is fantastic; Val Kilmer plays one of my top movie characters of all time, too.

@Your Highness

Not joking, really want to see that. I lol'd during the trailer when I went to see Paul.

I liked Vertigo; very trippy. The innovation for the "vertigo" shot was awesome -- a simultaneous zoom-in while panning out.

Rewatched Red vs Blue Seasons 1-6, since I ordered 7 and 8 the other day and wanted it all fresh in my mind for when they arrived. The Blood Gulch Chronicles were decent, and Reconstruction was every bit as awesome as I remembered.

Reconstuction brought the comedy to whole new levels of funny, made the plot far more interesting (an overall decent story, with a MINDFUCK plot twist late on), and has much better music. Plus Halo 3 looks much better, but I don't particularly care about that.
Don't Die.

I watched Insidious and it was scary awesome.

I had a really great time with it.

Also it cost me $1 so there's my bias.

I recently finished burning through the first two seasons of Sons of Anarchy. I must say, I did not expect to like the show, much less care about the characters. Who knew that a bunch of foul-mouthed, lecherous, violent biker dudes would be so endearing?
